COMPENSATION: $35-45 per hour; rate dependent on experience

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team to maintain and fuel our B2B growth. The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading both sales strategy and execution for multi-channel campaigns to drive lead acquisition and demand. A successful candidate will be results-driven, sales-focused, and understand the demand for Cultural Competence in the workplace. They will work closely with the President of deepSEE and Marketing staff to implement business development strategies and track performance.  They will be responsible for generating and tracking new leads and timely communication with prospective clients. deepSEE Consulting is based in Minneapolis, MN. The BDM will report to the President. 

THE JOB  

▫   The responsibilities for the Business Development Manager as outlined below require strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication:

▫   Understand how new leads are flowing through deepSEE’s business lifecycle across various stages and continually recommend new strategies and tactics for optimization

▫   Leading business development process from prospecting and lead capture, needs discovery, proposal drafting, and on-time submission of proposals

▫   Identify new markets to enter, conduct market research to identify new business development opportunities.

▫   Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with prospective and current clients via email, phone, and live-virtual methods.

▫   Identify the needs of prospective clients and align to best deepSEE product or service solution.

▫   Coordination of sales meetings and presentations and other opportunities (i.e., conferences, keynotes, workshops). 

▫   Managing the RFP/RFI process from research through proposal submission, interview/presentation, and acquisition.

▫   Collaboration on creation of presentations and pitches for prospective clients. 

▫   Own and track key business development metrics including Leads, MQLs, SQLs, Marketing Initiated Opportunities, etc. and make campaign recommendations based on performance.

▫   Collaborate with Marketing staff to develop effective account-based marketing strategies to influence target accounts and build highly customized campaigns.

▫   Execute B2B campaigns and manage the entire inbound lead flow process from lead capture, to email and prospective client nurture programs, to integration with CRM tools.

▫   Maintaining client databases and mail lists in CRM. 

▫   Collaborate with the Operations Team for a seamless hand-off for clients from sales to implementation of deepSEE product or service.

▫   Attend weekly and quarterly team meetings and retreats (in-person and/or live-virtual).

▫   Occasional travel to sales/marketing events as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

▫   3-5 years of related B2B marketing or demand-generation experience.

▫   Strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to own both strategy and execution for lead generation.

▫   Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

▫   Proven time management and organization abilities.

▫   Proven track record of measuring and improving the effectiveness of lead generation efforts and each level of the sales pipeline.

▫   Experience and ability with Microsoft Office programs specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desired Skillsets:

▫   Experience in DEI; familiarity with Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and DMIS (Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity) models a plus.

▫   Previous experience in B2B marketing a plus
